Photos from reception for Invention and Innovation exhibit

Last night, we celebrated the opening of our new exhibit Invention and Innovation: The Founders of Neuroscience in Oregon with a small reception in the Main Library. About 35 attendees joined us for light refreshments, a viewing of the exhibit, and brief remarks from Dennis Bourdette, M.D., FAAN, and Conrad Carter, M.D.

Above: The reception was a great opportunity for friends and family to reunite and reminisce

Above: Dennis Bourdette, M.D., FAAN; Conrad Carter, M.D.; Jim Cereghino, M.D.; all contributed research and writing to the exhibit.

The exhibit focuses on seven individuals who contributed to the development of neuroscience in Oregon, and we were so pleased that many of their family members and colleagues were in attendance.

We are proud to present our new exhibit on the history of neuroscience in Oregon. Invention and Innovation: The Founders of Neuroscience in Oregon, was developed in collaboration with faculty in OHSU’s Departments of Neurology and Neurological Surgery. The exhibit brings together historic images, publications, and artifacts that highlight nearly a century of pioneering research.

The exhibit is on view from January-March 2014 and is open to the public. It is located on the OHSU campus, BICC building 3rd floor, Main Library lobby
