OHSU Oral History Program update

Between fall 2012 and spring 2013, we recorded three new interviews for the OHSU Oral History Program:

Donald E. Girard, M.D. is Associate Dean for Graduate and Continuing Medical Education at the School of Medicine. He was interviewed by David Nardone, M.D. on his work in patient care, teaching, academic administration, and service to the medical profession.  

Dolores Judkins, M.L.S., is Associate University Librarian and Head, Information & Research Services at OHSU Library. Interviewed by Judith Norton, M.L.I.S., she discussed changes in technology, services, and administration in her over 30 years of service as a librarian at OHSU.

David A. Nardone, M.D. is Professor Emeritus in the School of Medicine. He was interviewed by Donald E. Girard, M.D. on his service in the Vietnam War, administrative work in the VA Hospital, teaching experiences and public service.

All three interviews are now in the post-production stage. Since 1997, the OHSU Oral History Program has produced over 100 interviews with individuals who have shaped the history of the uinversity. Completed transcripts and recordings of interviews are available for checkout from the Main Library. Transcripts are also available by request from HC&A.
