Just in from the School of Dentistry

When I got back from RBMS, Karen greeted me with, "Wait till you see what we got from the dental  school!" She showed me an array of turn-of-the-century items that an SOD staff member had recently discovered in a storage area. Included was this incredible artifact.

This human skull is separated into three parts and signed by alumni of North Pacific Dental College, circa 1913-1915. Some included their fraternity and grad year along with their names.

In the same transfer, we also received several other skulls and fragments, along with an intriguing series of photographs from a 1920s dental study.

We expect many more amazing items to come to us as the dental school continues preparations for moving the South Waterfront next year. We are so grateful to the SOD staff who work with us to identify historical materials and transfer them to the archives.
