New genetics history resource from the Wellcome Library

This week the Wellcome Library launched Codebreakers: Makers of Modern Genetics, a digital resource containing over a million pages of books and archives relating to the history of genetics.

Codebreakers includes digitized papers of Francis Crick, James Watson, Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin, and many more. It also contains over 1,000 digitized books covering the science, history, and socio-cultural aspects of genetics and related disciplines.

A further half million pages will be added from the holdings of the Wellcome and its partner institutions at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Library, King’s College London, University College London, Glasgow University Archives and the Churchill Archives Centre.
