RBMS preconference, June 19-22

Blog posting will be light this week, as I'll be attending the 53rd Annual RBMS Preconference in beautiful San Diego. Organized by the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries, the meeting falls immediately before the annual American Library Association conference.

The theme of this year's conference is "Futures." RBMS - like anyone else working in libraries - recognizes that the future is now:

"How are special collections materials being discovered and used today? How will they be discovered and used tomorrow? Who will our users be and what will they need? What forms will special collections materials take?"
