HC&A volunteer wins award

Yesterday OHSU Research and Academic Volunteer Services held a luncheon to honor extraordinary volunteers.

Scott Deskins, volunteer with Historical Collections & Archives, received the "Committment to Service" award. The presentation of the award describing his service was delivered by Karen Peterson, who supervises his work in HC&A:

"Scott has been working for the OHSU Historical Collections & Archives since 2008 and has proven his worth time and time again. He is a dedicated volunteer, spending between 12-15 hours a week helping to preserve the historical materials in our care. Scott is a trained archivist who holds a BA, an MA in English literature and an MLIS (Masters in Library and Information Science). He brings his skills and knowledge to the job providing much needed professional level assistance."

Congratulations, Scott! We couldn't do it without you.
