Thea Cooper is co-author of the book Breakthrough: Elizabeth Hughes, the Discovery of Insulin, and the Making of a Medical Miracle (St. Martin’s Press, 2010). She holds a B.A. from Bard College and an M.F.A. from The University of Iowa.
