A brace of Bernards
We recently acquired two works by Claude Bernard, adding to the library's holdings of this prolific French physiologist.
Bernard, Claude. Leçons sur les propriétés des tissus vivants. Paris: Baillière, 1866.
Bernard, Claude. Leçons sur le diabète et la glycogenèse animale. Paris: Baillière, 1877.
I think they make quite a fetching pair in their marbled paper boards. They'll be cataloged for the History of Medicine Collection, and will be available for research in HC&A.
