New (old) ophthalmological equipment

We are the proud new owners of several pieces of ophthalmological equipment, thanks to Janet Kreft, daughter of longtime Portland eye doctor Alfred J. Kreft.

Today's donation nicely complements the apparatus already included in the Medical Museum Collection, as well as those which form a part of the massive Kenneth Carl Swan Papers.

We received an ophthalmometer made by F.A. Hardy & Co. (ca. 1899-1920), a Hare Self-Registering Perimeter, a Storz instrument case (ca. 1890s-1920s), and an "eye table" (forthcoming).

Check them out!
